Coming Soon : Community Responder - Community-Based Child Welfare (Washington, DC)
This position is not currently active but is expected to be awarded in October 2025. We are pre-recruiting passionate professionals who want to make a difference from day one.
The Story
Imagine walking through a neighborhood in DC, where families are doing their best but sometimes struggle with challenges that could put them at risk. Instead of waiting for a crisis to escalate, you step in as a Community Responder - a trusted neighbor, a supportive guide, and a bridge to resources that can change lives.
You're not an authority figure. You're a partner. You listen, de-escalate, and connect parents and caregivers with support before child welfare involvement becomes necessary. Whether it's linking a family to parenting classes, helping a caregiver find mental health support, or guiding someone toward stable housing, your role is about prevention, trust, and empowerment .
