Allied Universal Technology Services is hiring a Journeyman Electrician to perform installations of electronic security systems, work independently and along with other technicians, to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency in all installations.
Responsibilities
- Install, program, and configure electronic security systems for commercial clients, including door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, and other security systems
- Troubleshoot, evaluate, diagnose, integrate new and existing installations to ensure the systems are functioning properly and meets industry standards
- Run electrical wiring, including drilling, trenching, and aerial runs
- Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment, and security software installation
Qualifications (Must Have)
High school diploma or equivalentMust possess a valid driver's license with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a company issued vehicleMinimum of two (2) years of experience in physical security, fire alarm, low voltage communication systems, including installing devices, troubleshooting, programming, and running medium to large projectsAbility to obtain and maintain state-specific licenses as requiredAdvanced in Microsoft Office and capable of navigating multiple systems efficientlySkilled in interpersonal and communication skills for clear documentation and reportingHighly skilled in troubleshooting, mechanical, and electronics skills; adept with hand and power toolsWillingness to handle "on-call" duties, respond to emergency service requests, and travel overnight as neededProven ability to work independently and collaboratively to complete tasks and meet deadlinesPhysically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work at various ladder heightsPreferred Qualifications (Nice To Have)
