A well-established and respected construction management firm is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex commercial and institutional construction projects in Middlesex County, MA. This role is responsible for overseeing all phases of project delivery—from preconstruction through closeout—ensuring safety, quality, budget, and schedule goals are met while maintaining strong client relationships.
Job Title : Senior Project Manager – Commercial Construction
Location : Middlesex County, MA
Salary Range : $140,000 – $180,000
Key Responsibilities :
- Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects ranging from $20M to $100M+.
- Manage project teams including superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and contract requirements.
- Oversee procurement, subcontractor negotiations, and contract administration.
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and consultants.
- Facilitate regular progress meetings and provide clear, timely communication.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project partners.
- Financial Oversight
- Monitor project costs and forecasts; identify and mitigate financial risks.
- Review and approve change orders, pay applications, and budget updates.
- Ensure timely billing and cost tracking in coordination with accounting teams.
- Quality & Safety
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety and compliance with OSHA standards.
- Ensure quality control procedures are implemented and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to verify progress and standards.
- Team Development
- Mentor and support junior project managers and field staff.
- Foster a collaborative and accountable team environment.
- Participate in hiring and performance evaluations as needed.
Qualifications :
10+ years of experience in commercial construction project management.Proven success managing large-scale projects in sectors such as education, healthcare, government, or mixed-use development.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam).Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field required.OSHA 30 certification preferred.Preferred Experience :
Experience with design-build and CM-at-risk delivery methods.Familiarity with Massachusetts building codes and permitting processes.LEED or sustainability-focused project experience is a plus.Benefits :
