Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring night shifts, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring certification.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital
  • Night shift schedule from 6 : 45 pm to 7 : 00 am
  • 13-week contract with three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Care involves laboring and postpartum patients, including COVID-positive cases
  • Uses Epic charting system; experience with Epic is preferred
  • Responsibilities include caring for patients through labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
  • Postpartum and vaginal examination experience is a plus
  • Must be comfortable caring for COVID-positive patients
  • Wear navy or royal blue scrubs
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers

    • Requirements

  • Active and current RN license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required; NALS accepted
  • AWHONN / Basic or Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certification preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred
