About The Position

Union City, Tennessee Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Board Certified / Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physicians for a short-term locum assignment in Union City, Tennessee. This opportunity provides flexible scheduling, competitive compensation, and the chance to support a community ED during a period of physician leave coverage.

Assignment Highlights

Location : Union City, Tennessee

Specialty : Emergency Medicine

Start Date : Upon credentialing

Coverage Term : Short-term (3–6 months)

Shifts Available : 12–15 per month

Shift Times : 6a–6p & 6p–6a

Coverage : Day & Night shifts

Staffing Model : Physician-led with APC support (10a–10p daily)

ED Volume : ~18,500 annual visits (~2.1 patients / hour, busiest 9a–11p)

ED Beds : 14

Trauma Designation : None

EMR : Epic

Privileges : Temporary privileges available with clean file and active license

Clinical Scope / Responsibilities

Provide full-spectrum emergency medical care across all age groups

Manage ~2 patients per hour in a community ED setting

Complete tuck-in admitting orders for admitted patients

Collaborate with APCs providing mid-day coverage

Candidate Requirements

Board Certification / Eligibility : EM (ABEM / AOBEM)

Licensure : Active Tennessee license required

Certifications : ACLS & PALS required

Experience : Community hospital EM experience preferred
