As a Systems Engineer II , you will provide technical expertise on a variety of projects and programs for technologies in the field of Alternative Position, Navigation, and Timing Systems. You will apply your systems design, integration, and architecture development expertise to support breakthrough product development and act as a key contributor to a multidisciplinary systems architecture development and integration effort. You will also support new business opportunities with an integrated sales, business, and technical team.

Responsibilities
- New product design & development
- System design, development, and documentation
- Aircraft architecture integration
- Process development and refinement
- Support development of minimum operating standards for the industry
- System verification and algorithm validation
- Technical reporting and customer interface
- Coordination between interdisciplinary teams
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline (sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics)2+ years of experience working in systems design in an aerospace R&D environment or similar fieldWe value
Master's degree in Engineering; or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering) or related fieldExcellent communication skills, written and verbal, to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and customersIn-depth knowledge of avionics systems (flight control, navigation, communication, electrical systems)Knowledge of inertial, GPS, or alternative PNT sensorsFamiliarity with avionics hardware / software development processes (design, development, verification, validation)Experience with digital engineering concepts, MBSE, digital twin, digital threadKnowledge of avionics communication protocols and standards (ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet, CAN bus)Experience with system-level testing and verification techniques, including test plan development, test execution, and test report generationUnderstanding of configuration management principles and tools for traceability and change control in avionicsExperience driving safety and certification activities for airborne systems (FAA regulations, DO-178C, ARP4761 / 4754A) and related coordination of SSPPs and ASMsBenefits

Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education, training, skills, and market considerations.
