Role Summary / Purpose :
The VP, Enterprise Surveillance and RCSA Program Execution Leader will focus on the strong execution of the Synchrony RCSA program and the adherence to the Enterprise wide surveillance policy. This role will provide a strong voice throughout the organization for consistency in risk identification and control environments across the 1st line of defense, as well as the need for strong process ownership. This leader will provide effective support and challenge for risks and controls in our processes through partnership with process owners, as well as second and third-line stakeholders.

Essential Responsibilities :
Lead the execution and continuous improvement of the Synchrony Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program to ensure effective risk identification and management across the organization.
Own and ensure consistent and calibrated compliance with Synchrony surveillance standard across functions including consistent annual planning activities.
Drive consistent periodic updates to surveillance and RCSA activities to incorporate change across the Enterprise – CTCs, L3s, new products, new or changed processes, new clients, etc.
Operationalize routines designed to ensure the Synchrony surveillance standard is maintained with updates that are timely, accurate and complete. Work with process owners, 2nd and 3rd line partners to ensure continued oversight and effective challenge of process documentation including RCSAs, and PRCs.
Lead cross-functional efforts to address risk control gaps and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
Develop and monitor key performance and risk indicators for Surveillance Program and RCSA program execution, providing transparent reporting to key stakeholders including relevant committees.
Own and maintain Synchrony’s Process Universe, driving completeness and consistency in processes across the enterprise; keep Process Universe Standard current and relevant.
Perform other duties and / or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements :
2+ years experience working with RCSA programs
4+ years experience in audit, Operational Risk, Risk Testing and / or Compliance with proven ability to leverage expertise for material business contributions and in development of high performing, functional teams
8+ years of demonstrated experience in delivering both verbal and written communications and performance results to executive level business leaders
Proven track record of collaboration across functions and lines of defense to deliver strong risk mitigation
Track record of building high performing, engaged work teams
Ability to leverage critical thinking skills to look beyond existing methodologies and current discipline to define and resolve complex problems
Desired Characteristics :
8+ years experience working with and building RCSA programs
Understanding of Test of Design and Test of Effectiveness for control environments
Demonstrated experience in change management, process design and leading strategy from concept through execution with high impact success
Proven track record building strong lasting relationships and influencing across all levels of the organization including direct reports, peers, key business stakeholders and Senior Leadership
Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the organization
Grade / Level : 14
The salary range for this position is 150,000.00 - 250,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements :
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
