Provide support to manufacturing. Plan major repairs, replacement, and modification and additions of plant-wide electrical apparatus, wiring, and equipment including primary power source over 480 volts. Troubleshooting, planning and design of electrical circuitry requiring a high degree of ingenuity and judgement to complete these tasks. Electrical construction dealing with the addition of new equipment or the relocation of existing equipment. Direct repair of electrical and electronic equipment, AC and DC control systems, protective devices, wiring devices, and light heat, and power sources. Make electronic repair or replacement required.
1. Design, develop, and maintain the electrical aspect of machinery, equipment and processes for all operations.
2. Apply state-of-the-art concepts in design and controls. Initiate and implement capital projects involving facilities, machinery, material handling equipment, and processes.
3. Recommend improvements in electrical power utilization of machinery, manpower, and facilities. Provide long-term planning, primarily electrical.
4. Provide troubleshooting assistance to maintain product flow through Foundry and Machine Shop operations.
5. Establish specific technical practices and policies and procedures for a safe operation.
6. Conform all necessary designs and documentation to QS9000 requirements. Assist in the procedure writing and foundry conformance to QS9000 and safety requirements.
7. The person assigned to this job has the authority and responsibility for the tasks designated in the EMS (Environmental Management System) procedures and for the tasks described below.
– Understanding and assuring conformance with the plant’s Environmental Policy as it relates to their job responsibilities.
– Understanding identified facility Significant EMS Aspects relating to their job and conforming to related facility operational controls.
– Understanding and assuring conformance with facility EMS Legal and Other requirements relating to their job responsibilities.
– Suggesting appropriate modifications of facility EMS documents to the EMS coordinator.
– Reporting any observed facility nonconformances to the EMS coordinator.
– Supporting and offering to their supervisor or EMS coordinator suggestions for the improvement of the facility EMS.
