Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Bone Marrow Transplant Discipline : RN Start Date : ASAP Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days Employment Type : Travel SHIFT DETAILS Shift : 3x12-Hour Days or Nights (Rotating Weekends) Schedule : Tuesday start dates Floating : Travelers float first, as needed UNIT INFORMATION Unit : Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) – 11S / 12S Beds : 40 total (20 per floor) Patient Ratios : Target 1 : 3, stretch 1 : 4 Equipment : Bedside monitors, wall-mounted computers, lift assist devices EMR : Meditech REQUIREMENTS Certifications : BLS, ACLS (AHA), ONS Chemo Certification Experience : Must Have : Oncology and PCU-level care experience Preferred : BMT experience, telemetry monitoring, and titration of simple drips Skills : Chemotherapy administration and monitoring Strong assessment and critical thinking skills Competency in telemetry interpretation Dress Code : Royal Blue Scrubs UNIT SCHEDULE & SUPPORT Support Staff : 1 HUC (Mon–Fri, 7A–3P) 2 PCTs (AM Shift), 1 PCT (PM Shift) Floating Policy : Travelers float first as per hospital policy Scheduling : Rotating weekends required SPECIAL PROCEDURES Infrequent bone marrow biopsies Chemotherapy and CAR-T therapy administration Autologous and allogeneic transplants (related, unrelated, haplo-match / mismatch donors) DEPARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS Recognition : Five-time accreditation by FACT Culture : Exceptional teamwork and a welcoming environment for travelers and floats Patient Experience Focus : Bedside shift reports, safety rounding, and “No Pass Zone” policy Advanced Therapies : Performs cutting-edge transplants and CAR-T treatments About Care Career Care Career brings together a portfolio of leading healthcare staffing organizations, each delivering specialized talent solutions across the industry.
