Position Summary

A plumber on the Atlanta Airlines Terminal (AAT) Project's plumbing team performs hands-on installation, maintenance, and repairs to the extensive plumbing systems across the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. A successful plumbing candidate for this position must possess a basic working knowledge of the principles, practices, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to operate and maintain plumbing systems. These services are delivered through work order assignments, special project assignments, and client requests consistent with the Georgia plumbing code. The position reports to the AAT Project's plumbing superintendent and work assignments are completed with supervision. The AAT Project operates three shifts daily on a 24 / 7 / 365 schedule. Other work scheduling requirements may also apply to meet client or project requests, seasonal weather events, emergencies, or other special conditions.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform basic inspection, troubleshooting, and repairs on plumbing and other systems at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
• Work with communications equipment, including radios, workstations, tablets, testing devices, etc. to record work order information in the Hexagon enterprise asset system.
• Assist with layout and estimating or work required for plumbing projects, as well as plumbing system maintenance and repairs.
• Be familiar with domestic water, domestic water valve, hot and chilled water, boiler condensate systems, storm drainage systems; acid resistant, backflow prevention / check valve systems, and hot water recirculation systems.
• Work with copper, PVC, no-hub cast iron; hub, spigot, and threaded pipe.
• Assist tenured plumbing team members with complex plumbing tasks and projects as needed.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
