Central Office Clerk (District Registrar & Technology Technician)

The District Registrar & Technology Technician is a dual-role position responsible for maintaining accurate student records and providing technical support for district technology systems. This position ensures compliance with state reporting requirements while supporting reliable, secure, and efficient technology operations across all schools.

Performance Responsibilities :

  • Regular and punctual attendance required.
  • Substitute for and assist support co-workers as assigned to complete required tasks.
  • Prepare memorandums, letters, forms, handbooks, and other material as assigned.
  • Make necessary administrative reports related to the area of registration and technology.
  • Participate in cross-training as required.
  • Assist the Technology Director in the areas of registration and technology.
  • Participate successfully in training programs offered and assigned to increase skill and proficiency related to assignment.
  • Prepare correspondence, forms, manuals, schedules, contracts, and reports.
  • Performs related duties as required or assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ability to keep business and school matters confidential.
  • Knowledge of procedures, practices, and operation of a school.
  • Ability to use excellent business English, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Demonstrated skills in Student Information Systems (PowerSchool preferred), Microsoft Office, Google business applications, and network basics.
  • Maintains accuracy and security in all student data processes.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in balancing registrar and technology duties.
  • Supports district goals for data integrity, instructional technology, and digital learning.
  • Ability to organize and file materials effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to follow written and oral directions.
  • Ability to exercise tact, good judgment, and initiative in dealing with employees, administrators, and the public.
  • Physical and emotional ability to perform required work as needed in a fast-paced, high-intensive work environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, including clear, polite telephone communication skills.
  • Registrar Responsibilities :

  • Oversee district-wide student enrollment, transfers, and withdrawals.
  • Maintain and audit student records to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Manage data entry and reporting in the Student Information System (SIS).
  • Coordinate with school secretaries, counselors, and administrators to ensure data accuracy for attendance, schedules, and demographics.
  • Technology Technician Responsibilities :

  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, Chromebooks, tablets, printers, and related devices.
  • Respond to and resolve technology work orders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Troubleshoot software, hardware, and network connectivity issues.
  • Support classroom technology including projectors, interactive panels, and sound systems.
  • Assist with imaging, asset tagging, and inventory management for technology equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service, repairs, and configurations.
  • Support user account creation and access management per district policy.
  • Provide technical support during testing windows and other critical events.
  • Evaluation :

    Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of personnel.
