Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Radiology Technologist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 11 / 03 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Job Title : Radiologic Technologist Facility : Auburn Community Hospital Shift : 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM Start Date : March 11, 2025 Assignment Length : Not Specified CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS New York State Radiologic Technologist License (Required) Certified in Cardiovascular (CV), Interventional Radiology (IR), or Vascular-Interventional (VI) Technology by ARRT (Required) Current registration in CV, IR, or VI (Required) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (Required) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, including GE systems, to produce high-quality images for diagnostic procedures. Assist during procedures by scrubbing-in and supporting the surgical team, ensuring a sterile environment. Circulate within the procedure room, coordinating and managing non-sterile tasks to facilitate smooth operations. Precept and mentor staff and new team members joining the Cath Lab, sharing expertise and best practices. Operate and manage equipment such as balloon pumps and provide conscious sedation as needed. Handle imaging documentation using Mac Lab charting software. Participate in after-hours call rotation, including taking STEMI call, with a schedule of 1 week every 3 weeks from 4 : 30 PM to 8 : 00 AM, including all day Saturday and Sunday. WHAT YOU BRING Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab environment with proficient knowledge of cardiovascular and interventional procedures. Experience with balloon pumps and familiarity with conscious sedation protocols. Strong technical skills with fluoroscopic and radiographic imaging, especially GE equipment. Ability to operate complex medical devices and manage emergent situations confidently. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, especially with supervising and mentoring staff. Flexibility to work a shift schedule that includes on-call responsibilities, evenings, weekends, and holidays. PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related healthcare field. Previous experience in a high-volume Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology setting. Demonstrated ability to precept staff and students, fostering a learning environment. Experience with Mac Lab charting and workflow management.
