Lead Infant Teacher

Overview

Pay : $22.80 - $24.50 + DOE hourly nonexempt

We are a certified ' Great Place to Work ' and have earned recognitions for the Senior Living sector. This role is within our Intergenerational Childcare Center (ICC) in Bayview Retirement Community, Seattle, WA, onsite.

Responsibilities

As one of our Teachers in the Intergenerational Childcare Center (ICC), you would work closely with other program staff to support their work with children and, at times, work independently in planning and implementing activities. You would maintain alignment with Center policies, procedures, licensing laws and regulations, and foster an orderly, secure, and mentally stimulating environment. You would use books and other educational resources to learn about developmental stages and the needs of the children and older adults with whom they interact. The Bayview childcare center serves children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and Skill
• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
• College level courses towards earning an Associate of Arts Degree or a Child Development Associate Degree preferred.
• Demonstrated willingness to continue attending educational offerings.
• Prior experience working with infants.
• Meets or exceeds the minimum licensing requirements for certifications (i.e., CPR, HIV / AIDS, First Aid, Food Handlers Permit).
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Treats parent / child information in a confidential manner.
• Possesses good communication skills.
• Possesses good problem solving skills.
