Mechanical Designer / Checker

Mechanical Designer / Checker applying in-depth knowledge of mechanical components and assemblies, as well as machine practices. Tasking would include, but not be limited to, the following : providing design and checking as needed on various mechanical detail drawings and assemblies; performing fitment reviews, tolerance stack ups, and reverse engineering; and performing part obsolescence and replacement research.

Job Requirements :

• Minimum of 10 years of experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD for creating / checking detail and assembly drawings.
• Experience using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDandT) in accordance with ASME Y14.5-2009.
• Familiarity with Military Specifications.
• Ability to generate design concepts, modeling and generate assembly and detail drawing packages.
