Job Description
Professionals holding a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential may work under a variety of job titles depending on setting, responsibilities, and organizational structure. Regardless of title, these roles involve designing and implementing behavior intervention plans, supervising ABA services, training support staff, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and families.
Responsibilities / Job Duties :
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and skills assessmentsDevelop individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention strategiesSupervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and / or ABA TherapistsTrain and support families and caregivers in behavior support strategiesMonitor progress, analyze data, and revise programming as neededPrepare progress reports for funding sources, schools, or medical providersCollaborate with school teams, clinical staff, or insurance companiesEnsure services are delivered according to ethical and professional standardsMinimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements :
Masters or Doctoral degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or related fieldBoard Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification requiredState-specific licensure (e.g., LABA in Massachusetts) as applicable1+ years of experience working in ABA (more for leadership roles)Valid drivers license (for in-home or community-based roles)Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
