  • Job Duties :
  • Utilizing engineering background, provide pre-sales and / or post-sales technical customer support including implementation, training, and maintenance support for Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and semiconductor intellectual property (IP).
  • Utilize graduate-level research and analysis skills to establish technical credibility and rapport with customers ranging from formal beginners to sophisticated experts.
  • Provide world-class reactive support, proactive training, and problem consultation to make product users successful.
  • Collaborate with Research and Development (R&D) to introduce new formal flows and apps to customers.
  • Champion customer needs and help R&D and product engineers develop competitive and creative technical solutions.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and continuously work on differentiating Cadences solutions.
  • Mentor junior Application Engineers and foster a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.
  • Represent Cadence at technical conferences and trade shows.
  • Some telecommuting permitted.
  • Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
  • Qualifications :
  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field.
  • Utilizing Verilog / VHDL RTL (Hardware Description Language Register-Transfer Level) design and debugging techniques including writing RTL in Verilog / VHDL
  • Computer programming and Tool Command Language (TCL) scripting in a Unix environment
  • Utilizing Digital Electronics including Digital logic design to understand user design and flows
  • Utilizing Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) Design including RTL to Gate level flow
  • RTL simulation and RTL simulation tools like Xcelium or equivalent
  • Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United StatesThe annual salary range for California is $119,736 to $156,000. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation : bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
