Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Be able to read, interpret, and modify electrical prints and schematics and document all self-created changes.
- General understanding and hands on experience with explosion proof and intrinsically safe work environments.
- General understanding and hands on experience with explosion proof and intrinsically safe work environments. Knowledge of applicable NEC and NFPA codes.
- Proficiency in electrical installations with conduit and wiring practices.
- Experience using sensing and control devices. Proximity switches through beam sensors, laser distance sensors)
- Experience using both DC and AC monitors, VG drives and Servo Controlled Systems.
- Support and follow the Lock Out / Tag Out program.
- Must fully understand and adhere to the ARC Flash and electrical shock prevention.
Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.Three-Five years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must successfully complete a blueprint reading course.Ability to write reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively to associates of the organization.Experience in the use of care of a variety of tools, equipment, and machines are essential.Working knowledge of all the construction trades is required, including electrical wiring, electronic controls, troubleshooting of PLC's, machining, plumbing, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.
