Field Services Technician Welding and Mechanical

Salary: $20 - $26/hr

Thermal Specialties is looking for a Field Services Technician Welding and Mechanical for our Construction Services division in Fort Worth, TX.

From next-generation industrial furnace systems and heat-treating capabilities to refractory installation and repair and insulation materials, Thermal Specialties is the single-source provider for high-temperature thermal processing applications.

Role and Responsibilities:

3 plus years of experience in ironwork, welding, mechanical troubleshooting, and / or support - preferred

Knowledge of Industrial Furnace Operation, Mechanical Assembly, and installation of combustion equipment - preferred
Ability to read fabrication/installation drawings
Utilize industry tools and equipment, including powered saws, hand shears, chipping knives, portable grinders, hand files, and scrapers
Use precision measuring tools to inspect grooves and angles
Weld parts in flat, vertical, and/or overhead positions
Conduct tests to check weld quality, including hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance
Ability to work as a team
Ability to intelligently interact with customers

Qualified Candidates must possess:
Education must be a high school diploma or equivalent
Valid drivers license and clean driving record

Maintain a safe working environment for you and your co-workers. Proactively identify possible safety hazards and report them to management
Work to improve knowledge in areas of furnace maintenance as well as fabrication
Perform work that meets or exceeds the time allotted for the job by management

Physical Demands:
50% travel to be expected (in and out of state)
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to work in extreme high/low temperatures and a physically demanding environment
Frequently required to stand for long periods of time
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
