Job Title
Supervises the day-to-day operation of the Food and Nutrition Dept. by following established policies and procedures so that quality food service is provided to all customers. Responsible for the overall operation and direction of the cafeteria. Refers problems to the Food and Nutrition Manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Manages individual(s) including but not limited to hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet / support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
- Monitors staff performance and builds an effective work unit by supporting and assisting in hiring and retention.
- Monitors dietary operations and makes decisions to improve workflow internally and with other departments.
- Assists with setting the dietary department's priorities.
- Provides education and ensures work unit follows proper job duty protocols, safety and sanitation guidelines.
- May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and / or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
- Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GEDWork Shift
