Job description

LocumJobsOnline is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified General Surgery PA in Novi, Michigan, 48374!

About The Position

  • A hospital in Michigan is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide locum coverage in the General Surgery department.
  • This is a hospital-based, OR-focused role supporting a large surgical team with significant robotic case exposure.
  • Assignment runs from late September 2025 through early January 2026.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as bedside first-assist in robotic surgical cases (GYN, urology, general surgery, bariatrics).
  • Perform port placement and closure of port sites.
  • Assist in occasional non-robotic cases as needed.
  • Handle occasional discharges, depart documentation, and outpatient prescriptions.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, residents, scrub techs, and circulating nurses in a high-volume OR environment.

    Job Requirements

  • NCCPA Board Certification – REQUIRED.
  • Active Michigan PA license – REQUIRED (will not consider candidates needing to obtain).
  • BLS & ACLS through AHA – REQUIRED.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of robotic bedside first-assist experience in GYN, urology, general surgery, and bariatrics – REQUIRED.
  • Cerner EMR experience – Preferred.
