American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient rehabilitation role requiring at least 18 months of acute hospital OT experience and current BLS and IN state licensure.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an inpatient acute care rehabilitation setting within a hospitalDay shift schedule : Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, with one weekend day per monthPatient population includes all levels of acuity from ICU to progressive care and cases such as cardiac procedures, stroke, TBI, joint replacements, fractures, respiratory conditions, dementia, MS, and Parkinson'sFloating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals is required for all travelersCerner EMR is used for chartingEvaluate and develop plans of care including ADL training, therapeutic exercises and activities, and daily assessment of discharge recommendationsWork as part of a collaborative inpatient rehab team of 19 professionalsFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyRoyal blue scrubs and black shoes are requiredCandidates must be able to work two out of three major holidaysUp to five days of non-holiday requested time off can be auto-approved; additional time requires approvalFormer perm or PRN employees must be separated for 12 months before being eligible as travelersIN residents are considered local candidates for this Allied position\n \n Requirements\n
Current BLS certification requiredIN state OT license required prior to start; compact licenses may be accepted if applicableNBCOT certification requiredMinimum 18 months of acute hospital OT experienceManual therapy and lymphedema certifications / licenses preferredExperience with Cerner EMR preferredDegree from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduationLicense required if applicable\n Benefits\n
