Job description

Spend only 1-2 hours a week and provide your expertise in Dermatology by conducting Utilization Reviews in the Utilization Management / Peer Review process. A current Indiana or Minnesota medical license is required (or current IMLC approval) .

Medical Review Institute of America, LLC (MRIoA) is a national Independent Review Organization (IRO), who facilitates the review of medical claims to determine treatment appropriateness; also known as Peer Review or Utilization Review.

IS REVIEW WORK FOR ME ?

Are you interested in staying informed of changes and knowing what treatments are being utilized by other Dermatologists?
Are you interested in learning more about how to get your own patient’s treatment approved?
Most MRIoA reviewers average 1-2 hours per week, however, there are no minimum expectations.
Each case typically take 30-60 minutes to complete.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :

You will be covered under MRIoA’s Errors and Omissions policy (traditional Malpractice Insurance is not applicable for review work)

Work anywhere within the USA (Per HIPAA Regulations patient records cannot leave the US).

Non-employed Independent Contractor (1099) opportunity.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be an MD or DO, Board Certified in Dermatology

Must have 5 years of patient care experience in Dermatology

Must have solid computer navigation skill

Must have an unrestricted Indiana or Minnesota state medical licensure, or current approval issued from the IMLC.

Must be a US Citizen or hold a Green Card (we are unable to sponsor a VISA)
