Travel RN – Telemetry Job Details

Location : Ottumwa, Iowa (52501) – Iowa travel nursing jobs

Assignment Length : 13-week contract

Start Date : December 15, 2025

End Date : March 16, 2026

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (18 : 45 – 07 : 15)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 or 48 hours per week (specify your preference when you apply)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680–$1800

Patient Ratio : 1 : 6, with CNA and LPN clinical support

Electronic Health Record : MediTech EHR

Floating : May be required within a 25-mile radius to support other healthcare facilities

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state

At least 1 year of recent Telemetry or Medical-Surgical (Med / Surg) RN experience

BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

Mandatory Reporter certification (Child and Adult) required

Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screening (including opiates)

Recent immunization titers (within the last 12 months)

Clear background checks (Iowa SING BG, criminal and child abuse portions) prior to start

Previous travel nursing experience preferred but not required

Travel RN – Telemetry Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients on the Telemetry unit

Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs; respond promptly to changes in patient condition

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Accurately document patient care in MediTech Electronic Health Record (EHR) system

Mentor and support clinical staff, including CNAs and LPNs

Float to other hospital units or healthcare facilities within a 25-mile radius as needed

Maintain compliance with all facility, state, and federal healthcare regulations
