IT SECURITY AND INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGER
ONSITE IN BOSTON, MA
CONTRACT ONLY - good through 12 / 31 poss extension.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manages the support staff with oversight of daily activities and the day-to-day delivery of IT services including helpdesk, device management, and uptime monitoring.
Direct and support computer lab technologies and instructional IT environments to ensure continuity for teaching and learning.
Maintain clear and effective IT service reporting, including ticket trends, uptime, asset inventory, and system performance metrics.
Coordinate IT staff, external vendors, and consultants in technical projects.
Lead the transition and operational integration to Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) for identity and access management, including device enrollment and authentication policy design.
Ensure IT systems and services meet high standards of performance, security, and user satisfaction.
Provide training, mentorship, and leadership to improve team effectiveness and service delivery.
Support and help implement the client's information security strategy, ensuring secure systems and practices across users and devices. Oversees Cyber Security training and documentation of said training.
Maintain and monitor patching, endpoint protection, and access control systems; contribute to security awareness initiatives.
Ensure compliance with PCI, GLBA, and other relevant regulatory and institutional security standards.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the CIO on operational risks and service improvement opportunities.
Contribute to strategic IT planning efforts, aligning service delivery with institutional goals and academic technology needs.
Qualifications
Required :
5+ years of progressive IT experience with 3+ years in a leadership role.
Experience managing cross-platform environments (Windows and macOS), including Jamf Pro administration.
Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), particularly identity and device management features.
Strong reporting and documentation skills, with ability to track KPIs, incidents, and asset data.
Proven success in technical team leadership and customer-focused support delivery.
