  • JOB SUMMARY \n\nThe Registered Nurse-Acute functions as a vital member of the healthcare team by demonstrating a customer / patient focus, effective communication, professionalism self-development, and teamwork. The individual utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive care provided to selected patient populations and their families. The Registered Nurse-Hospital is expected to demonstrate excellent clinical, problem-solving, interpersonal and leadership skills and make decisions consistent with hospital policies, department protocols / guidelines, and the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act.\n
  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS \n
  • EDUCATION \n\n_For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation. \n
  • Minimum Required : Diploma or degree in nursing.\n
  • Preferred / Optional :
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.\n
  • EXPERIENCE \n
  • Minimum Required : None\n
  • Preferred / Optional :
  • Two years' hospital nursing experience.\n\nThose inpatient facilities participating in the Clinical Nurse Advancement Portfolio (CNAP) clinical ladder, refer to program documents for eligibility to advance / maintain CNAP level.\n
  • CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES \n\n_The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position. \n
  • Minimum Required : \n\n+ Current Registered Nurse License awarded by the applicable state or Nurse Compact License.\n\n+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of employment.\n
  • Preferred / Optional : \n\nBasic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.\n
  • WORK SCHEDULE \n\n5 : 00 PM to 5 : 30 AM and every third weekend. Holiday rotation.\n\nWe offer block scheduling for work - life balance.\n\nThis position is eligible for full time benefits.\n
