Job description

Position Overview :

Join our team as a Floater Phlebotomist, where you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and service at multiple locations. This position offers the opportunity to interact directly with patients and deliver high-quality blood sample collections while ensuring adherence to established protocols.

Location : 165 Thomas Johnson Dr, Frederick MD 21702

Employment Duration : 3+ months

Shift : Flexible hours between 6 : 30 AM and 5 : 30 PM

Key Responsibilities :

  • Serve as the face of our organization by providing compassionate care to patients during their visits.
  • Draw blood samples with precision and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, following established practices.
  • Create a welcoming and trustworthy environment by thoroughly explaining procedures to patients.
  • Provide coverage across various roles and locations, adapting to daily operational needs.
  • Oversee the daily activities of the Patient Service Center and ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Demonstrate leadership by mentoring and training new employees, and guiding patient service representatives on site.
  • Establish effective communication channels with staff, providing feedback to enhance team performance.
  • Engage with customers who have high-complexity practices, ensuring exceptional service in alignment with their specialized needs.
  • Manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments while demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills.

Required Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training as a medical assistant or paramedic is preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification is preferred, especially in California, Nevada, and Washington.
  • Experience Requirements :

  • A minimum of five years of phlebotomy experience, including work with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • At least three years in a Patient Service Center (PSC) or in-office practice (IOP) setting is preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience in retail or service environments is a plus.
  • Proficient in keyboarding and data entry.
