Position Summary

The Department of Criminal Justice at Saint Peter's University invites applications for adjunct instructor positions to teach in the Master of Arts in Criminal Justice (MACJ) program. We are seeking experienced and qualified educators for the following graduate-level courses :

  • CJ-665 Advanced Criminological Theory
  • CJ-672 Terrorism
  • CJ-674 Criminal Justice Policy Formation & Analysis
  • CJ-652 Multicultural Law Enforcement
  • CJ-655 Transnational and Organized Crimes
  • CJ-680 Grant Proposal Writing

Rank : Adjunct Instructor

Tenure Information : Non-Tenure Track

Rate per Credit : $850 - $950

Qualification Standards

Successful candidates can teach one or more of the courses listed above and must have experience designing and delivering online and hybrid courses. Courses are offered in the evening on our Jersey City campus or online. Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in graduate-level teaching, professional engagement, and student mentorship. Applicants must also demonstrate an understanding of and appreciation for Jesuit values and Saint Peter's University's mission, which emphasizes academic excellence, service, and social justice.

Education And Experience Requirements

  • A Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, J.D., or M.A. in Criminal Justice (with significant professional or teaching experience) is required.
  • Prior teaching experience at the graduate level is strongly preferred.
  • Professional experience relevant to the course(s) is highly desirable.
