Flamingo Bowl is a premier 40-lane bowling center dedicated to providing a clean, fun, and friendly environment for bowlers of all ages and skill levels. We pride ourselves on maintaining a top-notch facility and rely on our janitorial team to play a pivotal role in upholding our high standards.
The Janitor at Flamingo Bowl is responsible for ensuring that our facility is clean, safe, and inviting for all guests and staff. This role will tackle both routine cleaning tasks and deeper cleaning projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Routine Cleaning:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the facility, including common areas and restrooms.
- Empty trash bins and replace liners in all areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies.
- Dust and wipe surfaces, including counters, tables, seating, arcade machines, and other fixtures.
- Clean windows and glass surfaces, both interior and exterior.
2. Deep Cleaning:
- Perform periodic deep cleaning of all areas, including shampooing carpets, washing walls, and cleaning air vents.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of storage rooms and janitorial closets.
3. Maintenance Assistance:
- Report any maintenance issues or damage, such as faulty lighting, broken fixtures, or equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks as needed.
4. Safety & Health:
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Ensure spillages or hazards are immediately addressed to prevent accidents.
- Adhere to Flamingo Bowl's safety policies and procedures.
5. Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other staff members to address cleaning and maintenance needs.
- Respond to cleaning emergencies or urgent requests as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous janitorial or cleaning experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with various cleaning products and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high level of cleanliness.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and report issues.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as the bowling center operates.
