JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for providing accounting and analytical support to the Accounting / Finance department. Prepare monthly general journal entries, schedules and provided analysis in support of quarterly reviews and annual audits.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare monthly general journal entries and provide accounting and analytical support to Management during the month end close process.
- Prepare BS account reconciliations such as prepaid, accruals, cash, A / R, unearned revenue and other liabilities / assets.
- Arrange schedules and analysis in support of monthly, quarterly reviews and annual audits as well as credit card / daily cash transactions
- Support management by gaining a full understanding of the transactions processed in reservations / onboard revenue systems.
- Investigate and research discrepancies in the reservations / onboard revenue systems.
- Support management with special projects such as reservations / onboard revenue systems testing and process improvement.
- Perform other job-related functions as assigned.

FIELD(S) OF STUDY : Accounting
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 years' experience in accounting, preferred but not required.Combined experience in public accounting and the private sector a plus.COMPETENCIES / SKILLS
Must have strong analytical skills, good verbal and written communication skills.Must be PC literate and proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerPivot, PowerQuery, Essbase and MS Outlook.Working knowledge of PeopleSoft software or large company ERP systems a plus.Organizational skills are necessary due to the nature of compiling and retaining detailed information for audits.Ability to work extra hours during month end close and as needed.CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
