BGT’s Account Manager / Sales person develops relationships with clients seeking internal finishes within the multifamily construction industry. This position will be responsible for identifying potential new clients or projects using varying means of generating interest such as planning persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince clients to do business with the company. The Account Manager will develop a rapport with new and existing clients and hit targets for sales. He / she will provide support that will continually improve the relationship. This position will be required to grow and retain existing “in-house” accounts by presenting new products and solutions to clients.
BGT is a full service / turnkey company that provides and installs Countertops, All Flooring and Wall tile in new multifamily projects across the state of Texas.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop new business with new and existing customers
- Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s leaders
- Plan approaches and pitches.
- Work with team to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
- Handle objections by clarifying agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
- Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
- Attend industry functions and stay informed on market trends.
- Identify potential clients and turn this into increased business.
- Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
- Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s sales management system.
- Understand the company’s goal and purpose so that will continue to enhance the company’s performance.
- Commitment to increasing job knowledge and expanding personal capacity by participating in continuing education related to field of expertise and in training to maintain a thorough knowledge of BGT’s products and services. Remains current on industry trends and developments.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, experience may be considered in lieu of educationExperience
At least two years of experience in construction business development preferredExperience in the multi-family construction industry preferredSkills

This position will be required to regularly travel from market to market for presentations, marketing events or trips with clients.
