About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect specializing in Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) solutions with integrated billing, rating usage management, and revenue recognition capabilities. In this role, you will serve as the technical lead throughout the entire pre-sales and into the implementation lifecycle, bridging the gap between our clients' business requirements and our technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales Support
Partner with sales teams to understand client needs and articulate technical value propositionsConduct technical discovery sessions and needs assessments with prospective clientsDevelop and deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to specific client use casesRespond to technical RFPs and participate in client-facing technical presentationsCreate solution prototypes to validate concepts and showcase capabilitiesTechnical Win Securing
Architect CPQ solutions that address clients' complex pricing, bundling quoting, and revenue management requirementsDevelop technical proposals that clearly articulate solution capabilities, integration points, and technical advantagesAddress technical objections and provide expert guidance on implementation approachesCollaborate with sales teams to develop winning strategies for competitive situationsSolution Scoping & Statement of Work Development
Define comprehensive solution scope based on client requirementsIdentify necessary customizations, integrations, and special configurationsEstimate implementation effort, timeline, and resource requirementsDocument technical assumptions, limitations, and prerequisitesCreate detailed statements of work with clearly defined deliverables, milestones, and acceptance criteriaPresent and negotiate SOWs with client stakeholders to secure signaturesSolution Design & Implementation Planning
Conduct thorough discovery sessions to gather detailed requirements for implementationMap client business processes to system capabilitiesDesign end-to-end solutions encompassing CPQ, rating, billing, usage, and revenue recognitionCreate solution design documents detailing system architecture, data models, integration approaches, and customizationsServe as a technical and functional mentor for junior CPQ team members, guiding them through solution design, configuration, and integration best practicesFoster a culture of learning and knowledge sharing, providing structured training, shadowing opportunities, and constructive feedback to accelerate junior resource growthBalance delivery excellence with enablement, ensuring projects are executed on time and to a high standard while creating space for junior contributors to own meaningful workstreamsAct as a sounding board and escalation point, empowering junior team members to troubleshoot and propose solutions before stepping in with direct guidanceDocument best practices, patterns, and lessons learned in reusable assets to support the professional development of team members and the long-term scalability of the practiceChampion continuous improvement, helping junior resources identify and pursue certifications, training paths, and stretch assignments aligned to their growth trajectoryQualifications
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of experience as a Solution Architect for CPQ, billing or revenue management systemsProven experience designing and implementing integrations between CRM, CPQ, Billing, and ERP systemsProven track record of pre-sales technical support and securing technical winsExperience creating detailed statements of work and solution design documentsStrong understanding of enterprise software integration patternsExcellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiencesPolished presentation skills and confident client-facing presenceComfortable working in ambiguous situations and adapting to changing requirementsPreferred Qualifications
Familiarity with ASC 606 / IFRS 15 revenue recognition standardsExperience with cloud architectures and API-based integrationsBackground in financial systems or ERP implementationsRelevant certifications (e.g., Salesforce CPQ Specialist, Oracle CPQ Cloud Implementation Specialist)What We Offer

The compensation band for this role is $135,000–$175,000 USD annually for candidates based in the United States and $140,000-$160,000 CAD annually for candidates based in Canada. Final compensation will depend on skills, experience, and internal pay equity. Slight variation by location reflects market conditions.
