Program Administrator 1
At the direction of the supervisor, establishes & manages performance standards of licensure staff members (e.g., develops training materials based upon observing application error trends; provides training & coaching). Monitors staff (e.g., ensures adequate staffing levels by responsibly approving leave time requests & approves timecards). Responsible for developing, monitoring & measuring key performance metrics (e.g., processing quality, process improvement & development plans; develops & completes employee evaluations). Performs non-routine administrative tasks (i.e., independently formulates decisions & / or judgments involving non-legal interpretation of policies & procedures as they relate to the licensing function to resolve problems; prepares correspondence; & / or reports to carry out other assignments (e.g., template updating, assigning work, auditing, initial licensing & software testing). Researches & analyzes the licensing program, procedures & policies; communicates decisions, directives & / or assignments to licensure unit staff. Performs public relations functions (e.g., researches & responds to inquiries & complaints; furnishes information & explains programs to the public and licensees). Coordinates & performs non-routine clerical duties related to licensure of status of licensees; coordinates & verifies information received from various state & external entities; responds to non-routine & sensitive correspondence; assists the public in-person (i.e., walk-ins) concerning inquiries regarding licensure process. Performs other duties as assigned (e.g., answers phones, takes & delivers messages to appropriate personnel, makes photocopies, faxes correspondence & ensures appropriate processing time for sensitive documents & processes other agency related communications; may represent supervisor at meetings, seminars or conferences (e.g., delivers presentations & answers questions)).

Qualifications
36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in business administration, management science or public administration. If assigned to operate vehicles regulated by Section 4506.01 of Revised Code, applicants must also have valid commercial driver's license. Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative & / or managerial position which involved limited research & public contact. If assigned to operate vehicles regulated by Section 4506.01 of Revised Code, applicants must also have valid commercial driver's license. Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative, managerial & / or staff position which involved limited research & public contact. If assigned to operate vehicles regulated by Section 4506.01 of Revised Code, applicants must also have valid commercial driver's license.
