FTE : Full Time, 0.9, 68.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift : Days

Pay : $21.49 - $27.94 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary :

• Provides emergent / urgent patient care under the direction of a physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner and / or registered nurse.
• Responsibilities :
• Coordinates flow of patients in the department to optimize throughput; keeps patients apprised of delays.
• Observes patients and notifies the provider and / or RN immediately if patient appears in distress. Prepares patients to see the provider; assists prior to, during, and following examination.
• Inserts Foley catheters, performs complex splinting, and performs venipuncture for the purpose of drawing blood or inserting a saline lock.
• Maintains exam and treatment rooms and other areas. Cleans equipment following established guidelines. Ensures that established standard supply levels are maintained; orders supplies as directed.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
