Within the College of Medicine's Office for Physician Scientist Education & Training (PSET) and under the general supervision of the Administrative Director for PSET, the Physician Scientist Development Program (PSDP) / R38 Program Manager is primarily responsible for providing administrative support for all education and training programs and initiatives that serve physician scientist residents and fellows. Responsible for providing administrative support to principal investigators and grant appointees in grant / contract administration, including pre-award proposal initiatives, post-award management and closeout activities for grant / contract sponsors. Secures required institutional approvals and monitors all documents and activities for compliance with regulations, terms, and conditions. Serves as the primary point of contact for data management, surveys, and reports for all PSET resident and fellow training programming. Initiates tailored curricula and activities. Responsible for program plans, events, registration, enrollment management, program evaluation, and data tracking. Serves as project manager and point-of-contact for signature large-scale PSET events (e.g. site visits, celebrations, symposiums). Participates on the College of Medicine Trainee Research Day organizing committee. Works in conjunction with all programs within PSET to improve collaboration, resource utilization, and efficiency to enhance the trainee and stakeholder experience in the greater Ohio State physician scientist community.
Minimum Education Requirements :
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education / experience.
Minimum Experience Requirements : 4 years of relevant experience required; experience in program planning and administration (including trainee data management) preferred; experience in research education and training grant preparation desirable; demonstrated proficiency using standard office software applications including MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint required; experience with RedCap, MS Project and SharePoint desired; experience in the organization and development of program materials, website content and event planning is required. Requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
