The Senior Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist is a lead member of the accounts payable team and is responsible for ensuring the timely processing of accounts payable for ChildCareGroup, a $35M nonprofit organization. This position reports to the Controller and interfaces with staff across the organization.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

• Manage full cycle accounts payable processes, including invoice review, coding and payment processing.
• Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and service providers
• Supervises the work of other Accounts Payable Specialists
• Reconcile AP ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Collaborate with procurement and other business units to streamline AP workflows
• Process payroll, ensuring accuracy
• Assist with month-end close activities related to AP and payroll.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
