Director of Adoptions

Location / Schedule : Winston-Salem NC. Weekdays 8 : 30-5 : 00 with some weekend and after hours on call support. This role requires consistent on-campus presence to support staff and operations with occasional flexibility for remote work when appropriate. Regular travel is required across North Carolina including Western campus sites and periodic meetings in Raleigh and other statewide locations.

Your Impact : At Crossnore Communities for Children the Director of Adoptions plays a vital role in helping children find permanent loving families. This position leads a dedicated team that supports children on their path to belonging guides adoptive families through every step of the process and ensures the highest standards of ethical and trauma-informed practice.

The Director of Adoptions will bring steady leadership emotional intelligence and vision to a team deeply committed to helping children heal and thrive.

Hiring Range : $68500 - $78500 annually - Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Candidates who meet only the minimum requirements can expect to start at the beginning of the range while those with additional and relevant experience and / or advanced skills may be considered for higher starting pay within the range.

Masters degree in a human services or related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one year supervised clinical experience working with children and families; or

Key Responsibilities :

Lead and oversee all adoption and permanency services ensuring alignment with agency mission and Sanctuary Model standards.

Collaborate with leadership to define strategic priorities and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Select coach and mentor staff to build a strong compassionate and accountable team.

Build and maintain strong relationships with DSS partner agencies and community organizations.
