Position Description

We are seeking an experienced Space Systems Engineer SME with extensive ground system knowledge to provide advisory & assistance services (A&AS) to support a major defense program, focusing on Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition life cycle planning and Space Force systems. The Space Systems Command (SSC) team provides highly classified Space Domain Awareness (SDA) systems, Defensive and Offensive Space Control (DSC / OSC) capabilities, and space test range assets to meet current and projected DoD operational requirements. In addition, they develop, integrate, test, deploy, sustain, and support operations for systems that meet strategic and tactical operational needs. The position is available in Huntsville, AL. Duties include but are not limited to :

• Lead the planning, processing, and execution of classified space control space, ground, & C2 systems, ensuring all activities are conducted with precision and adherence to security protocols
• Provide systems engineering expertise during the acquisition process including ways to improve the process
• Provide expert guidance on the design and testing of space systems to ensure seamless integration with ground systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine schedules, and processes
• Oversee the development and design process of ground systems, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives
• Coordinate with stakeholders to facilitate the successful development and operations of space systems
• Support rigorous testing and validation of space systems to ensure performance and reliability along with detailed analysis of logs and other test artifacts
• Create detailed, comprehensive documentation and reports for ground system plans, processes, and outcomes
• Integrate C2 solutions with Space C2 and Enterprise Ground System spiral increment efforts to ensure seamless integration

Salary Range

$150,000 - $210,000 USD
