General Description
Under the direction of the Marketing Manager, this position performs advanced (senior-level) marketing work, coordinating a variety of marketing, outreach, and economic development activities. Digital Marketing Specialist oversees and manages the Departments digital communications programs to ensure TPWD delivers relevant and timely email and text content to more than 3 million agency customers and constituents. This position is responsible for developing, implementing and tracking the effectiveness of email, text and social media marketing campaigns that drive revenue and increase awareness of agency programs, sites, products and initiatives. This position manages the Departments email services and CRM contract. This position will work with department content creators to adapt existing content for email and / or text content and works collaboratively with the in-house creative and web teams on graphics and web landing pages. Other responsibilities include maintaining a master email, text and paid social media campaign calendar; providing training and ongoing guidance to agency email topic administrators; and fulfilling sponsorship / advertising email deliverables. This position also provides guidance to department transactional systems that use email, text and / or paid social media to ensure consistency and best practices. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures.
