Annual Giving Manager

The Nightingale-Bamford School is seeking candidates for the position of annual giving manager to join the school's advancement team. The role will manage projects and initiatives that support the success of the annual fund, the Nightingale Fund. Reporting to the assistant director of institutional advancement, the annual giving manager will advance the continued growth of the Nightingale Fund, with a focus on compelling content development and effective management of the Parent Class Agent program.

The successful candidate will be a motivated, highly collaborative, and enthusiastic team-player who is eager to take part in a dynamic and fast-paced fundraising program.

This is a full-time, 12 month exempt position. This position is eligible to work from home one day a week, with additional remote possibilities during the summer months and when school is not in-session.

Responsibilities Include (But Are Not Limited To) :

  • Grow and develop a comprehensive annual giving programadvancing strategies that drive participation and dollar goalsincluding the development of annual appeals, including print and digital.
  • Manage and maintain a dynamic network of Nightingale Fund Parent Class Agents to enhance engagement and increase donor participation across all divisions. Responsibilities include recruitment, training, analyzing participation metrics, and providing active updates and outreach materials.
  • Develop and execute plans in support of giving days (Giving Tuesday and Nightingale Gives).
  • Craft clear and cohesive messaging to support all aspects of annual givingspanning social media, email campaigns, volunteer materials, training guides, and website content.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement volunteer and donor stewardship initiatives.
  • In collaboration with the database coordinator, ensure donor records are up to date; build and maintain tracking systems to monitor volunteer progress and identify growth opportunities.
  • Evaluate opportunities to recruit and engage Nightingale Fund volunteers across constituencies (grandparents, parents of alumnae, etc.) and support their efforts.
  • Support the production of the Annual Report.
  • Staff evening and occasional weekend events and attend early morning meetings as needed.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned by the Assistant Director of Advancement.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 45 years of professional experience in nonprofit fundraising, preferably in independent schools or higher education
  • Results-oriented professional with a passion for developing authentic relationships and working in a mission-driven and team-oriented environment
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with fundraising databases (Raiser's Edge preferred), and a familiarity with key fundraising metrics
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Must demonstrate cultural competence and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and all levels of the school community
  • Possess a high level of initiative with a proven ability to work both independently and in a team environment that values collaboration
  • Effective time-management skills and the ability to work within deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Salary Range

    In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the salary range for this position is $85,000$100,000, commensurate with experience. When extending an offer, Nightingale considers a range of factors including, but not limited to : the position's scope and responsibilities, the candidate's experience and training, key skills, internal peer equity, and market / organizational considerations.
