Join Materion Corporation as a Senior Staff Engineer where you will develop, design, and optimize infrared optical thin film coating designs to meet customer specifications. Work closely with the sales team and customers to ensure compliance, create manufacturing plans for new product opportunities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Description

Salary range : $128,400–175,035

This position requires :

• Developing thin film coating designs that meet customer specifications.
• Operating metrology equipment such as spectrophotometers and interferometers.
• Collaborating with sales and customers on SPC reports and data packages.
• Creating detailed manufacturing plans and providing process documentation (PPAP, FMEA, control plans).
• Working with process engineers and technicians to solve technical issues, manage defects, and implement root‑cause solutions.
• Leading technical improvement efforts and maintaining quality and safety of operations.
• Supporting Material Review Boards and vendor engineering as needed.
