The YMCA is dedicated to creating safe, supportive spaces where teens can connect, grow, and thrive. As a Teen Program Instructor, you’ll play a vital role in building positive relationships with teens, ensuring a safe environment, and delivering meaningful programs that inspire confidence, connection, and community.
What You’ll Do :
- Develop and implement afterschool teen programming in alignment with YMCA best practices
- Supervise teens throughout branch facilities to ensure a safe, welcoming environment
- Manage behavior effectively and serve as a positive role model for YMCA values
- Support relationship building among teen participants and with their families
- Actively engage in programs by leading activities, preparing snacks, setting up / breaking down spaces, and promoting other Y programs and events
- Create curriculum plans, program schedules, and supply lists to support daily operations
What We’re Looking For :
Passion for working with teens and supporting youth developmentStrong leadership, communication, and conflict management skillsAbility to supervise and engage with youth in a positive, constructive mannerExperience in youth programming or recreation preferredCPR / First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)Shifts available : Monday - Friday 3 : 00 - 6 : 00p
