About Our Client

Our client is a highly respected General Contractor that's been a leader in the mid Atlantic region for over 70 years. They specialize in a variety of sectors including Multifamily / Mixed-Use, Sports & Entertainment, and Corporate Interiors, with projects ranging from $10M to over $200M. Over the past 15 years, they've steadily grown their Richmond office, focusing on work within a 10-15 mile radius. They're now looking to bring on an experienced Project Manager to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a smaller, close-knit office with the backing and resources of a $400M+ revenue GC. You'd have a key role-not just another number-with real visibility and impact.

Job Description

The Project Manager - Commercial Construction - Richmond will be responsible for :

• Overseeing and managing all phases of commercial new construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
• Developing detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and scopes of work.
• Coordinating and communicating with architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
• Monitoring project progress, managing timelines, and ensuring milestones are achieved on schedule.
• Controlling project costs and managing budgets, including forecasting and variance analysis.
• Identifying and mitigating risks and resolving issues promptly to avoid delays or cost overruns.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
• Leading procurement efforts including bidding, contract negotiations, and vendor management.
• Preparing and presenting regular status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Managing onsite construction activities, supervising project teams, and coordinating subcontractor performance.
• Facilitating project meetings, maintaining project documentation, and handling change orders.
• Driving continuous improvement and efficiency in construction processes.
• Fostering strong client relationships and serving as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
