Job Description American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of diagnostic and interventional experience and BLS / ACLS certifications.
Responsibilities Work in a hospital-based cardiac catheterization lab supporting adult and geriatric patients
Census spans 3 procedure rooms with potential to float throughout all areas of the Cath Lab
Day shift, 4x10 hours, 7 : 00 AM – 5 : 30 PM
Call coverage required : 1-2 weekends per 6 weeks, totaling 8-10 call days in a 6-week schedule
Every other weekend required; major holiday coverage required per assignment length
Uses Epic (Cupid), Pyxis, and SBAR; experience with these systems is beneficial
Scrubs are provided by the facility
Daily responsibilities include supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
First-time travelers are accepted
Return travelers must have completed one full year away from all relevant facilities
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
No holiday time off (RTO) can be requested unless three major holidays occur during the assignment; one holiday RTO may be reviewed in that case
Maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO); none permitted during first week of assignment
Modules are completed during orientation and documented via transcripts
Facility does not permit travel pairs to be assigned the same shift and unit
No blocked scheduling is allowed
Full compliance must be completed to start on time; non-compliance can result in a two-week start delay
Requirements Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Cath Lab Technologist performing diagnostic and interventional procedures
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
GA or Compact state license must be in hand at time of consideration; license required if applicable
Ability to float within all areas of the Cath Lab as needed
Compliance with facility’s onboarding and orientation processes, including timely document submission
Two supervisory references required for consideration
