Schedule Night shift, 3x12.0 hours. Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises LPNs, CNAs, and orientees while embracing the core values of Select Medical, emphasizing superior quality, teamwork, and safety in care delivery. Responsibilities Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to form an individualized plan of care. Identify teaching needs and goals related to patient diagnoses through collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner. Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care using the nursing process. Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and provide patient education accordingly. Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care. Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks appropriately. Maintain safety in the work environment and assure personal safety as per nursing policies. Contribute positively to unit function by providing direction and reassurance to staff and families. Manage service needs by communicating with the manager and senior nursing staff. Assume charge responsibilities as requested following the orientation period. Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure BLS Certification required prior to first shift. ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
