Every other weekend Saturday and Sunday 830AM-4PM on site.

Job Description Summary :

• This position supports the Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatric Unit at Advocate Children's Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. This position will provide therapeutic supports to patients and families as well as administer risk assessments / make recommendations for patients admitted to the pediatric medical units, as needed. Smaller patient to therapist ratios allow for the therapist to focus on building relationships and promoting positive outcomes. The individual filling this position will work closely alongside the Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists and the larger multi-disciplinary team.

Major Responsibilities :

1)Interviews and evaluates patients, establishes diagnosis, and monitors patients' behavior. The treatment plan is developed collaboratively with the patient by defining goals, specific outcomes and timeframes for treatment. Intervenes psychotherapeutically to change attitudes, beliefs and behavior of patients to improve individual and family level of functioning.

1)Assesses performance by monitoring the quality and quantity of job behaviors and evaluations performance annually.

1)Maintains concise comprehensive case records by following established agency policies and procedures.

1)Demonstrates constructive involvement with professionals in the agency and in the community. Develops and maintains professional relationships with court, police, human services, entitlement, and governmental agencies, health services vendors and private organizations to enhance service delivery and agency image. Interprets program services to the social service community, and occasionally represents the agency in public, civic and private groups.

$30.15 - $45.25
