Job description

ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Orthopedic Surgery for a travel nursing job in Alamogordo, New Mexico.

RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity :

RN - Med Surg Orthopedic

Job Details :

  • Work 12-hour day shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM
  • 1 : 5 nurse to patient ratio
  • Weekend requirement : Yes
  • On-call requirement : Yes, every other week
  • Will rotate float to Med / Surg telemetry unit when not needed in primary unit
  • Care for orthopedic patients including joint replacements, fractures, shoulder cases, and podiatry cases
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
  • 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
  • Required certifications : BLS and RN License in state of employment or compact
  • Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process
  • Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
  • Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
  • Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and family members
  • Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
  • Temp to perm position available
