Job Summary

Join our IT group in Menomonee Falls, WI! This is a paid summer college intern opportunity in our IT organization. IT interns work closely with and assist staff with various assignments. The summer intern program consists of 10-12 weeks of hands-on, real world experience in an career development environment. Participation in the intern program gives preference for future semesters as an intern / co-op within DRS Naval Power Systems. A typical student will participate in 2+ semesters as an intern / co-op at DRS throughout their junior and senior years.

What You Will Do

Support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals

Troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and assistance where required

Gain understanding of IT methods, programs and practices via guidance from mentor(s), supervisor and interaction with other employees / co-workers

Perform other duties and assists in assigned projects

Establishes learning and development goals with mentor or supervisor approval

Education & Experience Requirements

Current accredited college or university enrollment; making progress towards an associates or undergraduate degree in a relevant field

Grade point average of 3.0 or above

Understanding of current principles and practices of IT support and ability to work closely with users and other IT professionals to identify, analyze and resolve system problems

Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team-oriented environment

Ability to successfully interact with other IT professionals and end-users

U.S. Citizenship required.
