Job Title : Commercial HVAC BIM Designer
Location : West Palm Beach Office
Salary : $110k to $120k (DOE)
Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial HVAC BIM Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC systems, advanced proficiency in BIM software, and excellent leadership and communication skills. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate 3D HVAC models, coordinating with various trades, and ensuring compliance with Florida mechanical codes.
Essential Functions :
- Develop detailed 3D models of HVAC systems using Revit, SysQue, and Navisworks .
- Coordinate and integrate models across various trades to resolve conflicts before construction installation.
- Participate actively in project BIM coordination meetings .
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date models and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct clash detection and resolve design conflicts in collaboration with the design team.
- Ensure all models are compliant with industry standards and project specifications.
- Provide technical support for ongoing projects and field service teams.
- Prepare field installation drawings and fabrication drawings .
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand and meet project requirements.
- Develop mechanical construction models in Revit , ensuring alignment with the project BIM Execution Plan .
- Support engineering, pre-construction, construction, retrofit, and project teams as needed.
- Assist the Engineering / Pre-Construction Manager with various project responsibilities.
- Attend turnover meetings, construction meetings, and BIM-related coordination meetings as needed.
- Occasional travel to other office locations or job sites may be required.
Qualifications :
Ability to work in-office daily to foster collaboration and integration across teams.Bachelor's degree in HVAC or Mechanical Engineering preferred.Minimum 5 years of experience in 3D modeling of HVAC piping and duct systems (including chilled and condenser water systems) or equivalent field experience.Proficient in Revit, SysQue, and Navisworks (preferred).Solid understanding of HVAC systems and Florida mechanical codes .Autodesk Revit certification is preferred.Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting simultaneous deadlines.
