Job descriptionOperate the equipment in the water treatment facility, which will include daily maintenance of all equipment used in the treatment process, monitoring control panels, adjusting pH and chemical feed rates, and making proper adjustments for best results. Ensure compliance to all state and federal environmental regulations by monitoring the discharge of treated wastewater, the treatment and disposal of other waste materials; including waste sludges, solids, and other waste from the manufacturing process. Safely handle chemicals that are used to treat waste waters. Work effectively in a team environment. Adhere to guidelines related to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures including complying with site specific health and safety plan. Must participate in the company wide safety program and follow all safety policies and industry safety practices. Any other duties as assigned. Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment. General understanding of PCs and related software experience. Sound communication, organizational, and analytical skills with the ability to plan work. Strong verbal and written skills in English required for all business / job related transactions. Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent; work experience in an environmental field, or any combination of continued education and work experience is preferred Must be a responsible team player with a positive attitude. Must understand basic mathematical principles and have knowledge of measurement processes such as length, diameter, weights, and counts.

Our client has a need for an experienced Environmental Technician for a short term assignment. This position requires someone with experience operating of water treatment equipment, performing maintenance, and providing results reporting.
The Environmental Technician will provide support to the manufacturing division by working in the industrial wastewater treatment facility.
Schedule / Pay :
- This position follows a 12-hour, rotating shift schedule, 6 : 00pm to 6 : 00am.
- Assignment wage is between $20.00 and $23.00 per hour based on experience.
- There is a seventy-cent shift differential for the overnight shift.
