Job description

Infrastructure Project Manager

The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans is seeking an Infrastructure Project Manager. This position is probationary and offers competitive salary and benefits.

Salary : $105,126.00 Annually

Location : New Orleans, LA

Kind of Work : Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to insure that goals or objectives are accomplished in accordance with prescribed priorities, time limitation, and funding conditions. Infrastructure Project Managers insure effective and efficient management of the project consistent with an established project management cycle and compliance with department guidelines, procedures, and systems; and related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications : (Original Entrance) 1. A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, Information Technology, Geology, Chemistry, Biology or related field. or A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration or a related field 2. Eight (8) years of professional construction or technical project management related experience. OR Possession of a current Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) issued by the Project Management Institute and four (4) additional years of project management experience earned after the receipt of a PMP Certification. (Promotional) Permanent status as an Infrastructure Project Manager III and two years of experience in that job classification.

Kind of Examination : A rating of training and experience, weighted 100%. All related previous experience will be considered for qualification purposes, however credit on the rating of training and experience will only be given for experience gained within the last ten (10) years. This is an original entrance and promotional examination.
